Reciting aloud that which is supposed to be recited quietly

“'Zurara(ra) asked Imam Abu Jafar(as) about a man who recites aloud in that it is not appropriate to (recite) aloud in it and silently in that it is not appropriate to (recite) aloud in it and abandons the recitation in that it is not appropriate to (abandon) its recitation in it or recite in that it is not appropriate to recite in it.' So he said: 'If he did that forgetfully, or unintentionally, there is nothing upon him (no repetition of Salah)'”

Sheikh Al Majlisi: Hadiths chain is sahih

Asharif Al Murtadha on friday prayer during the absence of The Imam(as)

Question:

“Is it allowed to do the Friday prayer (Jum’ah) both behind the like-minded (Mu’alif) and behind the opposition (Mukhalif)? Does it consist of two bowings (Rak’ah) with a sermon (Khutbah), instead of four?

Sheikh Asharif-Al-Murtadha writes:

The answer to this is, that the Friday prayer consists of two bowings (Rak’ah) without adding anything to it and there is no gathering for it, except with a worthy Imam (as) or with the one which the worthy Imam (as) sets up. But if this has not happened, then one prays the noon prayer (Zuhr) with four bowings (Rak’ah) and whoever has been forced to do the Friday prayer with someone who does not hold the position of Imam (as) is obliged to do the noon prayer (Zuhr) with four bowings (Rak’ah) afterwards.”

What should Sujood be done upon

What should we do Sujood upon and why? As always we will use refrences from two of the four most authentic books of ahadith , Kitab Al Kafi by Al Kulayni and Al Faqih by As-Sadooq.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn Khalid and al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from al-Qasim ibn ‘Urwah from abu al-‘Abbas al-Fadl ibn “Abd al-Malik who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘You must not perform Sujud (prostration) on anything except earth or on what grows from earth except cotton and linen.’

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from and Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan all from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Zurarah who has said the following: “I once asked abu Ja‘far, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, ‘Can I perform Sajdah (prostration) on asphalt? He (the Imam) said, ‘No, also not on cotton, wool, anything from animals, food, fruits of earth and not on anything of clothing.’

๐Ÿ“šKitab Al Kafi V3,P186

Hashim Ibn Hakm asked Imam Jafar As-Sadiq(as): Inform me of what it is permitted to do sujood upon and what is not permitted. He said: Sujood is not allowed except for upon the earth or what the earth grows except that which is eaten or worn. So he said to him: May I be your sacrifice, what is the reason for that? He(as) said: It is because sujood is submission to Allah, (swt), so it is not appropriate that it be upon what it eaten and worn. For the sons of the dunyaa (world) are worshipers of what they wear and eat. And the prostrator in his sujood is in the worship of Allah, (swt), so it is not appropriate that he place his forehead in his sujood upon that which is worshiped by the sons of the dunyaa (world), having been deceived by its deception. And sujood upon the earth is better for it is more (conducive) to attaining humility and submission to Allah(swt).
