As-Sadooq about the reliability of Kitab Al Mahasin

Sheikh As Sadooq writes:

My intention was to report what i consider to be authentic (Sahih) and what i am convinced to be a proof between me and my Lord, may His name be sanctified and His omnipotence be glorified. Everything in it is taken from the famous works on which people rely on and where the reference (Marja’) is....

Fasting on the day of doubt forbidden?

Kiram reported that he told Imam As-Sadiq (a.): “May my life be sacrificed to you, i decided to fast until the Riser (Qa’im) rises, God is quickening the salvation through him.” He said: “Fast, but do not fast on the journey, nor on the two festivals, nor from the 11th to the 13th day of Dhu-l-Hijjah, nor on the day when there is doubt that it is one of the month of Ramadan.”

Footnote*Sheikh Al Majlisi said:Its possible it was said in Taqqiya.

πŸ“šTahdhib Al Ahkam V4,P302

*The hadith contradicts many authentic ahadith which speak positively of the fast on the day of doubt, its also parallel with the view of our opponents(Omaris) therefore as per  advice from the Imam(as), in case of contradiction we follow that which opposes Omaris.

Reciting aloud that which is supposed to be recited quietly

“'Zurara(ra) asked Imam Abu Jafar(as) about a man who recites aloud in that it is not appropriate to (recite) aloud in it and silently in that it is not appropriate to (recite) aloud in it and abandons the recitation in that it is not appropriate to (abandon) its recitation in it or recite in that it is not appropriate to recite in it.' So he said: 'If he did that forgetfully, or unintentionally, there is nothing upon him (no repetition of Salah)'”

The reward for smashing the nawasib

From Abu Muhammad (as): J'afar ibn Muhammad (as) said: Whoever is dedicated to smash (defeat) the nawasib away from our poor shias, supporters of us, Ahl al-Bayt(as) [he] smashes them (nawasib) away, discloses their humiliating facts, and discloses their defects, [such person] values the command of Muhammad and His Progeny (as). Allah commands the angels of the paradise to build for him palaces and houses, he (the angels) uses his words (of such person) in his arguments against the enemies of Allah more than the number of the properties of the people of the world, the power of each one (angel) has priority to carry the heavens and the earth. How many palaces! How many blessings! How many palaces! No one knows it's amount except the Lord of the worlds.

The worst kind of sufis

Sheikh Al Majlisi writes:

There is another sect of the Sufis that is worse than the believers of transmigration. They believe in the Unity of Allah. They believe that Allah is everything and everywhere. He can come in different forms and shapes. Sometimes he is Zaid, at others he is Amr, sometimes He assumes the shape of a cat or a dog or anything else.

Khomeini writes:

Ahkaam Zaat Wajib:

"Everything in the universe is an illusion or a thought, the image in mirror or the shadow (no existence) and the world is thought under thought."

Then, a few lines are written attributed to Allah:

"I am oneness, I am multipleness

I am meaning, I am the face

I am the First, I am the Last

I am Hidden, I am Apparent

I am up, I am down

I am the world, I am the hereafter

I am the light, I am the darkness...

I am vanished, I am present.....

I am the same thing (itself)"*

(*Summary: Everything is Allah)

Asharif Al Murtadha on friday prayer during the absence of The Imam(as)

Question:

“Is it allowed to do the Friday prayer (Jum’ah) both behind the like-minded (Mu’alif) and behind the opposition (Mukhalif)? Does it consist of two bowings (Rak’ah) with a sermon (Khutbah), instead of four?

Sheikh Asharif-Al-Murtadha writes:

The answer to this is, that the Friday prayer consists of two bowings (Rak’ah) without adding anything to it and there is no gathering for it, except with a worthy Imam (as) or with the one which the worthy Imam (as) sets up. But if this has not happened, then one prays the noon prayer (Zuhr) with four bowings (Rak’ah) and whoever has been forced to do the Friday prayer with someone who does not hold the position of Imam (as) is obliged to do the noon prayer (Zuhr) with four bowings (Rak’ah) afterwards.”

Imam Ar-Ridha explains what ‘arsh is

From Safwan ibn Yahya who has said the following. “Abu Qurrah, the narrator of Hadith asked for help to meet Imam Ali abu al-Hassan al-Rida (a.s.). I requested the Imam (a.s.) to meet him and he agreed. Abu Qurrah asked the Imam about the lawful and unlawful matters and then said, “Do you affirm that Allah is carried?” Imam abu al-Hassan (a.s.) replied, “Every thing in an objective case is related to another thing and is dependent. Being carried is the name for verbal defect. On the other hand, carrier is in a subjective case and it verbally is a word to convey praises and so is the expression of one who says, “Above, below, upper and lower.” Allah has said, ‘For Him there are beautiful names, thus, call Him through those names.’ He (Allah) has not said anywhere in His books that He is al-Mahmul (Being carried) He has, in fact, said that He is the carrier in the sea and on land and the preserver of the heavens and earth from banishment. Al-Mahmul, (being carried) are things other than Allah. It is never heard from any one who believed in Allah and His greatness saying in his prayers Ya Mahmul, (O the one being carried,).” Abu Qurrah then said, “He Himself has said, ‘The angels will be around the heavens and on that day eight of them will carry the Throne of your Lord above all the creatures.’ (69:17) Also He has said, “Those who carry the Throne (al-‘Arsh).” Imam abu al-Hassan (a.s.) then said, “Al-‘Arsh (the Throne) is not Allah. Al-‘Arsh is the name of knowledge and power. In al-‘Arsh there is everything. Besides, He has ascribed carrying to things other than His Own-self. It is ascribed to a creature among His creatures. This is because He has made His creatures to worship Him through carrying His al-‘Arsh (the Throne) and they are the carrier of His knowledge. There is a creature, who speaks of His praise around His al-‘Arsh (the Throne) and act according to His knowledge and the angels write down the deeds of His servants. He has made those on earth to worship Him in the form of Tawaf (walking around) His house. Allah has control over al-‘Arsh (the Throne) as He has said, “Allah carries al-‘Arsh, those who carry it and those around it, preserves them, keeps them together and is the guardian of all souls and above and over all things.” It is not permissible to say, “He is carried. He is below.” It would be the only expression that would not make any sense. Thus, both the word and meaning would be destroyed.” Abu Qurrah than said, “Do you then consider a false Hadith the Hadith that says, “When Allah becomes angry His anger becomes known to the angels who carry al-‘Arsh. They at such time feel the weight of His anger on their shoulders. They then bow down in prostration. When Allah’s anger goes away it becomes light and the angels return to their places.” Imam abu al-Hassan (a.s.) said, “Tell me about Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High. From the time He condemned Satan until today is He not angry with Satan? When did He become happy with Satan? As you say He is still angry with Satan, his friend and followers. How would you dare speak of your Lord as under going changes from one condition to another condition and that what happens to the creatures happens to Him also. He is the Most Glorious, the Most High. He does not banish with those who banish and does not change with those who change. He is not replaced with those who are replaced. The creatures are under His guardianship and they all are dependent on Him. He is Self-sufficient and independent of others.”

Sheikh Al Majlisi:Hadith is sahih
